What were the principles of life that the Puritans lived by in 1692?
1. The bible was the basis for all living. It was against the law to not attend church.
2. The Puritans lived a god-fearing life.
3. Individual differences did not matter.
4. Hard work was expected and emotions and self-expression were to be restrained.
5. Misfortunes were viewed as punishments and God's will for sins. The Puritans would not help those suffering misfortune.
6. The Devil was as real as God and searched for the weakest persons to do his evil deeds.
