Throughout the discussion of the novel, you have explored the ideas of injustice, pride, and revenge. By the end of the novel, the characters' actions based on these principles had certain consequences. Discuss the ending of the novel and whether anyone "won." In other words, did the characters get what they were seeking? Was it a happy ending? Discuss more than one character using specific examples from the novel, and comment on each others' opinions. When you agree or disagree, be sure to use details from the novel to support your point. Be sure to post your response by first period Monday, December 1.

In chapters 7-9, we see several characters taking action to "get back at" or "get revenge on" another character. State one incident in which a character does this. In your discussion, include your honest feelings about the character's actions. Explain whether you feel the character is justified in what he or she does and why. Check your answer for grammatical errors before posting by first period Monday, November 24.

Choose a character and discuss a situation in chapters s4-6 where that character acted out of pride. Include in your discussion your opinion as to whether that action had positive or negative results, as well as how you personally feel about the action.

Be sure to comment on someone else's entry, either in your own response or separately. Entries should be posted by first period Monday, November 17.

What shocked you the most about what the Logans experienced in chapters 1-3? Describe the incident, using specific details from the text. Include in your entry how it made you feel to read about these incidents. You must also refer to another person's comment, either within your own entry, or as a separate response.
